Poetics of Emptiness explores quiet interiors that are empty yet filled with traces of memory and emotional resonance. These watercolour paintings emerged from my experiences of displacement—moving from India to Australia—and the way distance transforms our sense of home. Empty rooms, corners, windows, and thresholds hold subtle histories, echoing everyday life and gentle routines.
The work is less about physical space and more about what it feels like to inhabit it emotionally: the stillness, the quiet weight of absence, and the beauty carried in memory. I invite viewers to feel these memories, to pause, and to take a small place of the soul into these quiet interiors, carrying a piece of their stillness and beauty with them.
